Learners are required to complete an online registration form for all courses, including online courses, live stream courses, and classroom courses. Registration is complete when the information requested in the registration form is returned to Degree Real Estate Academy.
Information collected from learners as part of the registration process or during the course includes, but may not be limited to, name, address, phone number, email address, last 5 digits of Social Security Number, Driver's License Number and DBPR license number. This information is required to report course completions to the state and to prepare course completion certificates. Without this information, course completion status and/or course completion certificates may not be prepared
2. Cancellations & Extensions
Cancellations for live stream and classroom courses may be requested for a full refund of any pre-paid tuition amounts until 14 days prior to the start of the class
If a learner is unable to attend a live stream or classroom course and wishes to request an extension of time to enroll in a later class, an extension may be granted for up to 6 months. If the learner has not attended class within the 6-month extension period, any pre-paid tuition amounts will be forfeited
Cancellations are not accepted for online courses, and no refunds are available for online courses once accessed
Online courses may be accessed for up to 6 months. After this time the learner will be required to re-enroll in any uncompleted course
3. Refunds
Full refunds are available for live stream and classroom courses until 14 days prior to the start of class
Requests for refunds for live stream and classroom courses will be subject to a cancellation fee if made less than 14 days prior to the start of the class. The cancellation fee is one-half of the regular (non-discounted) course tuition amount
Online courses and materials are non-refundable
Packages, discounted courses and courses sold as part of a promotion are non-refundable
Media materials (including books and downloadable content) and merchandise are non-refundable
4. Course Transfers
Transfers between online courses and live stream or classroom courses are not available
Transfers between live stream courses and classroom courses are available, space permitting, with prior approval
5. Completion Certificates
Learners are responsible for providing accurate information for preparation of course completion certificates and state reporting
Course completion certificates are delivered to learners by email (to the email address provided in the registration process)
Learners are responsible for printing course completion certificates and bringing course completion certificates to the testing site
Course completion certificates will not be faxed to testing sites
Course completion certificates are emailed within 48 business hours of all course requirements being met
6. Materials
Materials delivered to learners through Degree Real Estate Academy are proprietary and copyrighted to their respective owners. No materials may be reproduced, sold or redistributed
7. Electronic Devices
Electronic devices are permitted to be used during all class formats for note-taking purposes
Electronic devices may not be used to duplicate any portion of the course materials / instruction or to access course materials or other information during exams
Electronic devices may not be used for communication purposes during instructional time
8. Online Courses
Online courses require a high level of self-direction. Learners are expected to read, conduct research, complete timed exams and similar assignments to gain the knowledge, skills, and competencies equivalent to those acquired by students in a traditional classroom setting
For online courses offered in partnership with OnCourse Learning, instructional support is provided by Degree Real Estate Academy. Instructional support is available during normal business hours (9a - 5p, Monday - Friday) by phone (407-789-0202) and email (info@DegreeFL.com)
9. General Student Administration
Pre- and post-licensing courses include timed end-of-course exams. A grade of 70% or higher on Commission-prescribed end-of-course exams is required for successful completion of the course. End-of-course exams may not be accessed or taken until the learner has completed all learning units
Students failing the end-of-course exam for a pre-licensing course will be required to wait at least 30 days before re-testing. Re-testing may only occur once. Students failing a pre-licensing end-of-course a second time will be required to repeat the course.
Students agree to receive transactional, promotional, and marketing materials from Degree Real Estate Academy by mail, email, and electronic communication means.
No promises or guarantees of employment or placement of any agent, real estate school student, or prospective real estate school student are made on this website or any communication in any way related to this website.
